J.L. Childress Ultimate Car Seat Travel Bag Received the backpack and think it is well made – the zippers took some pulling and yanking and didn’t give. Unfortunately, with the new convertible car seat I purchased inside, the zipper will not zip all the way around. I purchased the EvenFlo as a travel seat to give us the flexibility over time of rear facing, front facing and booster; it’s heavy though at just over 20# and if our daughter ‘chooses’ not to ride in it on our carry-on suticase, it’ll be a lot to lug. I’d hoped to use this backpack for gate check as well as the times when she won’t ride in the car seat through the airport but wants to walk (assuming we have time to cater to her desires). I only had it on for a few minutes and the straps are decent but not long or with any extra padding to speak of. A waist strap and chest cilp might be a good adds for stability and comfort but might also be overkill given the amount of time one is likely to wear this as a true backpack.

Britax Frontier 85 Combi nation Seat , Maui Blue (Baby Product) My son was ready to move out of his Britax Diplomat which we hated. We had almost lost confidence in Britax because his previous seat was so bad. But after reading all of the reviews we decided that we would give the Frontier 85 a chance. We are so glad we did! SO much easier to install than the Diplomat. Regardless of how we positioned it we could never get the Diplomat to feel truly secure. The Frontier is snug as can be! So glad we spent the money on it! The only complaint I have is my 2.5 year old is VERY active and in the process of climbing in his seat the cover always seems to come off in some way or another. But this is minor as it doesn’t affect the safety of the carseat.

Combi Cocorro Lightweight Convertible Car Seat , Keylime (Baby Product) I bought this seat because of reviews/claims that it’s compact & works well in smaller cars. Our issue has to do with my husband being tall & is not able to put his seat far back enough with a rear-facing carseat in the back.After about 45 min to an hour of struggle to install this rear facing, I gave up & sent this car seat back. Here are the issues:1. The manual is difficult to understand. This is my third carseat install, so I’m not that new at this, yet there were several times where I coudln’t quite be sure I was doing it right.2. There is a ‘tether’ on the lower latch-strap which causes the seatbelt material to fold over onto itself (the loop on the tether is too restrictive) causing the buckle mechanism to sieze up. In other words, the small loop squished the strap and made a crease. Then when you went to tighten, that doubled strap material caused the buckle/tightening mechanism to jam up. So to get it tight took quite a lot of effort and tinkering. Can’t imagine having to do that every time I moved this seat!3. When I got it as tight as I could, which took a very long time given problem #2 above, if I very lightly pulled back (towards the back of the car) on the back of the seat, it completely flipped over. I don’t know how that is safe!Bottom line, a seat’s only safe if you can get it installed properly, and adjusted readily as the kid grows. I simply couldn’t get this installed in my car despite a lot of trying. Went out and bought the admittedly much more expensive, PegPerego SIP Convertible seat. Went in in under 5 minutes, feels incredibly secure, and is actually affording more legroom than the Combi seemed to. Highly recommend the peg perego convertible seat.

Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 Convertible Car Seat , Total Black (Baby Product) I installed this seat in my mini cooper clubman. I like that it doesnt take up a lot of room in the back and doesnt interfere with legroom up front. Although my car has latch system, i had a hard time getting the seat to be stable. I have leather seats and maybe this does not help the situation, but I also purchased the britax roundabout and noticed that the bottom of this seat is encased in rubber, for better grip and i had no problems with this seat in my car. The pria does not have any rubber at the bottom. I tried rolling a towel and puting it underneath the seat, but it still didn’t help. I ended up buying a car seat rubber matt. The matt protects my leather seat and provides the gip that i needed. One other note, the pria is a little higher up so it does block my rearview ever so slightly. Overall, I like the seat and my daughter seems to enjoy it.

Evenflo Momentum 65 DLX Convertible Car Seat featuring SureLATCH, Biscotti (Baby Product) We had a similar seat for our son now for over 2 years and have been very happy with it. Decided to get another one for our daughter, only the dlx. This car seat fits like a glove! She is secure, snug and always comfortable in it. The latch system is so helpful, no need to man arm it like the other seat. The color is the perfect brown, darker then most images show it to be. Overall- LOVE IT! Recommend it to everyone looking for a great seat.

Britax Boulevard 70 CS Convertible Car Seat (Current Version), Onyx (Baby Product) This car seat is beyond awesome, the steal reinforced beams and heat rest make me know my son is secure. I was embarrased when I tried to install it because the instructions it come with are confusing and I couldn’t get it installed. So I went to the Britax website and they have a tutorial video that shows you how and 2 minutes later it was in (and passed inspection) so I highly reccommend watching the video on how to install it. Here’s the link [...] My son loves this seat and its easy to get him in and out of it, also to raise and lower the shoulder straps. I highly reccommend this seat!!!!

Britax Boulevard 65 CS Click Britax Boulevard 65 CS Click & Safe Convertible Car Seat, Berkshire Tan (Baby Product) I wouldn’t recommend spending the extra money on this car seat even though it has a fantastic safety rating and is recommended by Consumer Reports. It worked alright for the first few months when we first put our daughter in it (she was about 10 months) however the past 6 months it hasn’t lived up to expectations. The click safe feature is useless, it clicks almost as soon as I begin to tighten the straps and there is no way she is secure; there is over 3 inches of slack. Also, trying to tighten the straps is difficult, like there is a mechanism that got tightened and has never loosened up. It takes all my effort to pull the strap and get it tightened enough that she is safely strapped in. My last complaint is that the seat seems narrow, which I know keeps her safe but now that she has to wear a coat she seems stuffed in to the seat and it can’t be made wider. The only plus side is that it gives great head support so her head doesn’t slump all the way to the side when she falls asleep. I just bought another Evenflo Triumph LX (my husband has one in his vehicle) to replace this seat and it is so much nicer and safer. It is actually rated higher than the Britax by Consumer Reports.

Britax Marathon 70 Convertible Car Seat (Previous Version), Onyx (Baby Product) I like the car seat and thought it was a pretty neat and safe car seat. One concern I have about this car seat compared to older models of Marathon is that the top portion (the bulging area left and right near the upper part of the car seat) has too much clearance. The base does not budge at all in the rear facing position but I did notice the top portion would move side to side easily and this could have serious consequences during side impact collisions.
